Peanut Clusters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. evaporated milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. butter or oleo
    1/4 c. crunchy peanut butter
    1 c. oatmeal
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    In large pan heat sugar, butter and milk to boiling, stirring constantly.
    Cook 3 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Mix together peanut butter and vanilla.
    Stir in oats and nuts.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper.
    If mixture thickens, add 1 or 2 tablespoons of milk.
    Let stand until firm.
