Fresh Apple Cake With Buttermilk Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. oil
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. orange juice
    2 c. grated apple
    1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
    1 c. coconut
Preparation
    Sift flour, soda and cinnamon. Combine sugar, eggs, oil, vanilla and orange juice in large bowl. Beat until well blended. Stir in flour mixture until well blended. Fold in apples, nuts and coconut. Spoon into well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 325\u00b0; cool in pan 15 minutes on rack. Remove cake to plate with raised edge. Puncture cake on top with wooden toothpick. Spoon hot Buttermilk Sauce over warm cake several times until cake absorbs most of sauce. Let stand about 1 hour before serving.
