Soft Molasses Drops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar (white or brown)
    1 c. shortening
    1/2 c. molasses
    1 egg
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 c. sour cream (can use milk if no sour cream)
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix sugar, shortening, molasses and egg.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Chill for 1/2 hour.
    Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for about 8 minutes.
    Makes about 5 dozen.
