Egg Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 qt. milk, scalded
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Scald the milk; let cool. Blend eggs, sugar and salt.
    Slowly stir in slightly cooled milk. Add vanilla. Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 45 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
    Place custard cups in pan of water to cook.
