Congress Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    black beans
    kidney beans
    pinto beans
    lima beans
    Great Northern beans
    split peas, green or yellow lentils
    barley
    ham hocks
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 large can tomatoes
    1 tsp. chili powder
    juice of 1 lemon
    salt and pepper to taste
    garlic if you like
Preparation
    Wash 2 cups of bean mixture (all sold in 1 package at store). Place in large dish.
    Cover with water and add 2 tablespoons salt. Let stand overnight and drain.
    Add 2 quarts water and ham hocks; simmer slowly 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
