Sweet Potato Casserole With Praline Topping - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large sweet potatoes
    1/2 c. butter, softened
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/3 c. milk
    1/2 c. heavy cream (whipping cream)
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/3 c. melted butter
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Bake potatoes.
    Take skins off, cool and mash well.
    Add 1/2 cup butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla and milk to sweet potatoes, mixing well.
    Pour the mixture into a baking pan or casserole dish.
    Bring the cream to a simmer in small saucepan.
    Add the brown sugar and stir until dissolves.
    Cook the mixture over medium heat until it reaches the soft ball stage on a candy thermometer.
    Remove from heat and beat in the melted butter and chopped pecans.
    Pour over sweet potatoes.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until hot and beginning to brown.
