Okra Croquettes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. plain flour
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. black pepper
2 c. finely chopped okra
1/2 c. chopped onion
Preparation

Combine flour, cornmeal, salt and pepper. Stir in egg. Add okra and onion. Mixture is very stiff and does not hold together well. Drop by tablespoonful into hot oil. Deep-fry until golden brown or desired crispiness. Drain on paper towels.
