Prune Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 c. flour, sifted
1 c. chopped cooked prunes
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Place oil and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
Beat well; add eggs and beat until creamy.
Sift flour three times with soda, salt and spices, then add to mixture alternating with buttermilk and vanilla.
Stir in chopped prunes and nuts.
Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Let cake cool before icing.
