Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. lard
    1 tsp. soda
    2 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream lard, sugar and eggs well.
    Add buttermilk, soda and vanilla.
    Stir in flour until stiff enough to knead on floured dough board.
    Roll out and cut with your favorite cutter.
    Bake on greased cookie sheet at 400\u00b0 until done (lightly brown).
