Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. yellow or zucchini squash, sliced
    4 medium onions (or less), sliced
    2 green peppers, chopped
    1/2 c. pickling salt
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Pour 1/2 cup salt over vegetables in ice water.
    Let stand 3 hours.
    Drain well.
