Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large green bell peppers
    1 lb. hamburger meat
    2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    1 c. cooked rice
    1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
    3/4 c. Mozzarella cheese
Preparation
    Cut thin slice from stem end of each pepper.
    Remove seeds; rinse and cook in enough boiling water to cover for 5 minutes. Drain.
    Cook hamburger and onion in 10-inch skillet until lightly browned; drain.
    Stir in salt, garlic powder, rice and 1 cup of the tomato sauce; heat thoroughly.
    Stuff each pepper with hamburger mixture; place in ungreased baking dish 8 x 8 x 2-inches.
    Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers.
    Cover and cook in 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes.
    Uncover and cook 15 minutes longer.
    Sprinkle with cheese.

    6 servings.
