Apple Date Muffins(Low-Fat) - cooking recipe

3/4 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. wheat bran
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. chopped dates
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 c. milk
1 c. grated, peeled apple
Preparation

In large bowl, combine whole wheat and all-purpose flours, bran, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon; stir in dates.
In another bowl, beat egg with sugar and oil; stir in milk and apple. Pour into flour mixture and stir just enough to moisten, being careful not to overmix.
