Chicken Rice Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 to 3 1/2 lb.) chicken, cut up
    4 c. water
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    1 c. fine egg noodles
    1 c. rice
    1/2 c. chicken fat or margarine
    2 1/2 c. chicken broth
Preparation
    Boil the first 5 ingredients together for 30 minutes.
    Skim off fat.
    Measure 1/2 cup fat into saucepan.
    Brown noodles into melted fat.
    Add rice; mix well.
    Add chicken broth.
    Cover; simmer for about 40 minutes.
    Bone chicken and add to rice.
