Gingerbread With Caramel Sauce - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. Crisco
1 egg
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp each ginger and cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
-
Mix sugar, crisco and egg together.
Mix dry ingredients and add to first mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake 350\u00b0 for 40-45 minutes.
