Yellow Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    3 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 egg yolks
    4 egg whites
Preparation
    Mix shortening, flour, baking powder and sugar together. Blend well.
    Add 1 cup milk, vanilla and egg yolks.
    Mix about 2 minutes.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Add 1/4 cup milk and egg whites to batter.
    Beat 1 minute.
    Pour into floured pan and cook in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
