Fresh Peach Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 9 ripe peaches
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. soft butter
Preparation
    Peel and slice peaches.
    Place in a lightly buttered 8-inch square baking dish.
    Sift together the flour, salt, cinnamon and sugar in a bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse corn meal. Sprinkle mixture evenly over peaches. Bake 45 to 50 minutes in a 375\u00b0 oven or until topping is golden brown.
    Serve warm with cream or milk, if desired. Serves 6.
