Peanut Butter Cutouts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
Preparation
    In a small bowl, combine flour and baking soda.
    In a large bowl, beat shortening and peanut butter until well blended.
    Beat in both sugars until blended. Beat in egg.
    Gradually stir in flour mixture until well mixed. Divide dough in thirds; wrap each portion and refrigerate until firm, about 3 hours.
    Roll out dough, 1/3 at a time, on lightly floured surface.
    Cut out with cookie cutters.
    If desired, sprinkle cookies with colored sugars. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 minutes or until lightly browned.
