Scalloped Corn - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
pinch of cayenne pepper
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 onion, chopped fine
1 c. milk
2 c. drained whole kernel corn
1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
2/3 c. buttered bread crumbs
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Butter a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Mix flour, salt, paprika, dry mustard and cayenne pepper in a bowl.
Melt butter in skillet and cook onion until soft.
Add flour mixture to onion.
Lower heat and cook for 2 minutes. This will be like a paste.
Add milk.
Stir constantly and bring to a boil.
Mix egg and corn in a bowl. Add to skillet and stir.
Pour mix into baking dish.
Top with bread crumbs.
Bake 25 minutes, browning bread crumbs.
Serves 6.
