Mixed Vegetables Mornay - cooking recipe

2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
3 Tbsp. butter, melted
3 Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
2 slices bread, torn into small pieces
3 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Cook vegetables as directed on package until just tender. Melt 3 tablespoons butter, blending in flour (do not brown).
Add milk and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Add seasonings and cheese, stirring just until cheese is melted. Place drained vegetables in a greased 1 1/2-quart shallow casserole dish.
Cover with sauce.
Toss bread in remaining butter and scatter on top.
Bake in a very hot oven at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until browned.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
