Layered Mexican Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 to 1 c. chopped onion
    salt and pepper to taste
    garlic powder to taste
    corn tortillas
    grated Longhorn cheese
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1/2 to 1 can Ro-Tel diced tomatoes and chilies
Preparation
    Brown ground beef with onion.
    Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
    Drain and place in bottom of casserole dish. Cover with double layer of corn tortillas, torn into small pieces. Add more onion, if desired.
    Cover with grated cheese.
    Mix soup with tomatoes and pour over cheese.
    Sprinkle with more cheese. Bake for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Can be cooked in microwave until mixture is hot and bubbly.
