German Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, separated
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 (4 oz.) pkg. German sweet chocolate
    1 can Angel Flake coconut
Preparation
    Beat until batter is smooth.
    Stir in coconut and fold in stiffened beaten egg whites.
    Bake in 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
