Potluck Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. frozen hash brown potatoes
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 c. cream of chicken soup, undiluted
    1 pt. sour cream
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 c. cornflake crumbs
    1/4 c. melted butter
Preparation
    Defrost potatoes in large, mixing bowl with 1/2 cup butter, salt and pepper.
    Add onions, soup, sour cream and cheese.
    Mix thoroughly and pour into 3 quart buttered casserole.
    Combine cornflakes and butter.
    Cover top of potato mixture with these. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
