Old-Fashioned Lemon Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. milk
3 egg yolks
1/2 stick oleo
2 c. scalded milk
juice of 1 lemon
grated rind of 1 lemon
1 baked pie shell
Preparation

Mix sugar, salt, cornstarch, 2 tablespoons of milk and egg yolks until it makes a paste.
Add scalded milk; stir into paste. Cook until thick.
Take off heat; add lemon juice, peel and oleo. Beat with mixer until very creamy and pour into baked shell.
Top with meringue and brown.
Makes a 9-inch pie.
