Apricot Cheese Fruitcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    1/2 c. snipped dried apricots
    1/2 c. light raisins
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter, softened
    8 oz. cream cheese, softened
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    4 eggs
    2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Grease and flour a 10-inch fluted tube pan.
    Set aside.
    In saucepan, combine water, apricots, raisins and the 1/4 cup sugar. Bring to boil.
    Reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Drain well.
    Set aside.
