Topsy-Turvy Coffee Ring - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    3 Tbsp. shortening, melted
    1/2 c. warm buttermilk or sour milk
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    2 eggs, well beaten
    3 c. flour
    1/4 c. butter (soft)
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 c. raisins
    1/3 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in the water.
    Combine shortening, milk, sugar and salt.
    Blend in eggs and the dissolved yeast.
    Add flour; mix well.
    Place in greased bowl and cover.
    Let rise in warm place until double in bulk, 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
