Strawberry Surprise Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (3 oz.) strawberry gelatin
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    16 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries
    2 bananas
    15 oz. can of pineapple tidbits, juice and all
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    8 oz. pkg. sour cream
Preparation
    Dissolve gelatin in boiling water.
    Add strawberries and stir until thawed.
    Add pineapple tidbits and juice; slice bananas into gelatin.
    Add nuts.
    Pour half of gelatin mixture into 8-inch square baking dish.
    Chill until firm.
    Spread sour cream over chilled gelatin and pour remaining gelatin over sour cream.
    Chill until firm and cut into squares; serve on lettuce leaf.
    Serves 9.
