Angel Yeast Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. dry yeast
2 Tbsp. warm water (105~ to 115~)
5 c. White Lily self-rising flour
2 Tbsp. sugar or 3 pkg. (2 Tbsp.) Sweet 'N Low
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. shortening
2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
-
Dissolve
yeast in warm water.\tSet aside.
Stir flour, Sweet 'N Low or sugar and soda.
Cut in shortening until size of\tpeas. Mix
buttermilk
with
yeast
water.
Add
to flour mixture.
Stir with fork until moistened.\t(May be covered and refrigerated overnight to be shaped and baked later.) Turn out onto
floured surface.
Sprinkle\twith
flour,
knead
4 or 5 times.
