Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 qt. sliced cucumbers
1/2 c. salt
4 trays ice cubes
3 c. vinegar
5 c. sugar
1 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
Preparation

Mix ice in cucumbers. Let stand 1 hour.
Wash several times. Make sure all salt is rinsed out. Drain on towel, then heat vinegar, sugar and spices.
Pour over cucumbers.
Let come to boiling point.
Do not boil.
Makes 4 quarts.
Put in jars and seal.
