Cucumber Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    18 cucumbers (6 lb.)
    12 onions
    3 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    1 small jar pimento or 1 red bell pepper
    1 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Grind cucumbers and onions.
    Mix 1/2 cup salt to 3 quarts water and let stand overnight.
    Next day, drain off water.
    Cook 10 minutes.
    Place in jars and seal.
