Eight Layer Overnight Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, chopped and drained
    1 c. celery, sliced
    1 c. green pepper, thinly sliced
    1 c. onion, thinly sliced
    1 pkg. frozen green peas, slightly thawed (I use Birds Eye tiny deluxe ones)
    1 c. mayonnaise (I use half sour cream)
    grated Cheddar cheese
    8 to 10 strips bacon, crumbled
    sliced, hard-boiled eggs (top with)
Preparation
    Make in layers as listed.
    Cover with Saran Wrap and refrigerate overnight.
    Can be made in deep bowl or baking dish, not so deep.
    Very good!
    Serves 10 to 12.
