Buttermilk Raisin Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 egg
    1 1/4 c. buttermilk or sour milk
    1/4 c. melted shortening
Preparation
    Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and sugar.
    Beat egg.
    Add buttermilk and shortening.
    Add to flour mixture.
    Stir only until flour is moistened.
    Fill greased muffin cups 1/2 full. Bake in a hot oven at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
    Makes 1 dozen.
