Shipwreck Stew(From My Mother, Fran Seaton.) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    2 large onions
    1 can kidney beans
    4 stalks celery
    3 carrots
    1 green pepper
    1 c. uncooked macaroni
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1 large can tomatoes
    tomato juice
Preparation
    Brown hamburger and onions.
    Arrange in Dutch oven as follows: meat, beans, vegetables, macaroni and rice.
    Repeat, but end with third layer of meat on top, then pour on tomatoes and finally juice until it is almost to the top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
    If juice begins to bubble over, remove with a spoon so it will not be so tempted.
    You may salt each veggie layer if you're not concerned about sodium.
