New England Clam Chowder(Serves 4) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 slices bacon, diced
    2 c. diced potatoes
    1 whole onion, chopped
    1 bottle clam juice
    12 oz. minced or chopped clams
    2 c. heavy cream
Preparation
    In a medium saucepan, brown bacon over medium heat (do not drain drippings). Add potatoes and onions; saute about 7 minutes. Add clam juice and reserve clam liquid. Cover and simmer about 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Stir in cream and clams; bring to a
    slow simmer. DO NOT BOIL. Serve with crackers.
