Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
3 c. flour
pinch of salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
8 to 10 Tbsp. buttermilk
3 bananas, mashed
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Mix in order given.
Add soda to buttermilk.
Bake in loaf or tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
For holidays, add 1 cup mixed candied fruit.
Serves 15 to 20.
