Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift together flour and baking powder.
Alternate flour and milk, beating well after each addition, beginning and ending with flour. Add flavorings.
Bake in a greased and floured tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour plus, until done.
