Rice Krispies Treats - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. Rice Krispies or store brand crispy rice cereal
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. Nestle's butterscotch chips
    1 c. peanut butter (chunky or smooth)
Preparation
    Place the cereal in a large bowl. Line a 13 x 9-inch pan with wax paper. Melt the butterscotch chips in a double boiler (or 1 small saucepan set into water inside a larger one), stirring constantly until smooth. Then add the peanut butter and mix until smooth. Remove from heat and immediately pour into the cereal. Mix thoroughly. Pour mixture into the pan, spread with spoon or spatula until it is even. Refrigerate. Cut into squares to serve.
