Ingredients

2 c. persimmons
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
3 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda in 1 Tbsp. hot water
1 qt. milk
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
pinch of salt
lump of butter
Preparation

Put persimmons through colander.
Mix in other ingredients and pour in buttered pan; bake 1 hour in moderate oven.
Stir several times while baking.
Serve cold with whipped cream.
Can be canned while hot.
