Cheddar Cheese Squash - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. yellow crookneck squash
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, crisp cooked, drained and crumbled
1 c. crushed herb-seasoned croutons
1/2 c. melted butter
Preparation

Scrub squash and cut off ends (do not peel).
Slice to make 6 cups.
Cook, covered, in a small pot of boiling water until tender, 15 to 20 minutes.
Drain well and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
In a 9 x 12 x 2-inch baking dish, layer the squash, Cheddar cheese, bacon and croutons.
Drizzle with melted butter. Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until cheese melts and croutons are golden brown.
