Aunt Helen Pittman'S Canned Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. snapped green beans, washed
    1/2 gal. water
    1 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. salt
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients (except beans).
    Bring to a boil; boil for 10 minutes.
    Pour green beans into syrup; bring back to boil. Boil for 10 minutes and put into clean jars.
    Seal with sterilized hot lids; seal tight.
    When you get ready to use, drain off liquid.
    Pour into boiling water and season as you like.
    Cook until beans are done.
