Seven Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, broken into pieces
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas, thawed
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 hard-boiled eggs
    4 oz. thinly grated Cheddar cheese
    1 lb. bacon, fried and broken into pieces
Preparation
    In a casserole or plastic pan place part of broken lettuce, celery, peas, eggs, Cheddar cheese and bacon bits.
    Mix sugar and mayonnaise in a cup and spread over ingredients.
    Repeat layers until filled to top of pan.
    Last layer place sliced eggs on top of lettuce plus mayonnaise and refrigerate overnight.
    If you like, mix all ingredients together and toss with mayonnaise. Place in casserole and refrigerate overnight.
