Turtle Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 lb. margarine
1/2 can sweetened condensed milk
1 regular pkg. German chocolate cake mix
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
6 oz. chopped pecans
Preparation

Prepare cake mix as package directs.
Bake 1/2 of the prepared cake batter in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan for 15 minutes. Melt margarine with caramels and milk in top of double boiler. Remove from heat and cool slightly before drizzling over top of cake layer. Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips.
Spoon remaining batter over caramel mixture and bake an additional 25 minutes at the same temperature.
