Caraway Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices bacon, diced
    2 medium onions, diced
    4 (16 oz.) cans whole green beans
    1 Tbsp. caraway seed
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 can cream of mushroom soup (undiluted)
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    1 tsp. lemon pepper marinade
    Ritz cracker crumbs
    butter
Preparation
    Saute bacon and onions; add green beans and caraway seed. Simmer 1 hour on top of stove.
    Pour off all juice except 1/4 cup. Add mushroom soup, cheese, water chestnuts and pepper; place in a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Cover with cracker crumbs; dot with butter.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for about 30 to 40 minutes. This can be prepared the day before.
    It can also be frozen. Serves 8 to 10.
