Chow Chow Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. (4 medium) green tomatoes, chopped
    1 c. (2 medium) sweet red peppers, chopped
    cabbage (3 to 4), chopped
    2 1/2 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    2 c. chopped onions
    2 c. sweet green peppers
    3 Tbsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. turmeric
    2 tsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Combine chopped vegetables.
    Sprinkle with salt; let stand 4 to 6 hours in cool place.
    Drain well.
    Combine vinegar, sugar and spices; simmer for 10 minutes.
    Add vegetables, simmering 10 minutes more.
    Bring mixture to a boil; pack into pint jars, leaving 1/2-inch space.
    Process in hot water bath for 10 minutes.
