Oatmeal Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. rolled oats
2 c. boiling water
2 pkg. yeast
1/3 c. warm water
2 Tbsp. butter, softened
1/2 c. molasses or honey
2 tsp. salt
6 c. (approximately) unbleached flour (Heckers)
Preparation

Pour boiling water over oats; let stand and partially cool. Melt yeast in warm water and add liquified yeast to above.
Add butter, molasses or honey and salt to oats and yeast.
Add 2 cups flour and stir well.
Add 2 more cups of flour which may be difficult but will gradually blend in.
Add last 2 cups of flour, a little at a time, while kneading well until dough is smooth and elastic (takes about 15 minutes).
