Dutch Salad Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 slices bacon
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cornstarch
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten slightly
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    2 tsp. instant minced onion
Preparation
    Fry bacon over low heat until crisp.
    Drain and crumble.
    Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt.
    Mix egg, water, vinegar and onion. Add to sugar mixture and add all to bacon drippings.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Add crumbled bacon.
