Surprise Cheese Bake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick margarine
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
4 egg whites, beaten to blend
1 medium onion, chopped
4 medium zucchini, grated
1 c. Parmesan cheese
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1/2 c. half and half
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Spray a 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish with vegetable spray.
Melt 1/4 cup margarine in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, stirring occasionally, 4 to 5 minutes.
Add zucchini.
Cook 10 minutes longer.
Remove from heat.
Stir in 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup bread crumbs and the Italian seasoning.
Transfer the mixture to prepared dish. Sprinkle with remaining Monterey Jack cheese.
Combine beaten egg whites and half and half.
Pour over zucchini.
Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs.
Dot with remaining 1/4 cup margarine.
Bake until golden brown, about 35 minutes. This can be prepared 1 day ahead.
Cover and refrigerate.
Rewarm before serving.
