Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. corn meal
1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 egg
1 onion, chopped

Preparation

Mix dry ingredients; add milk, egg and onion.
Drop by heaping teaspoon into hot shortening.
Fry until golden brown.
