Pickled Bell Pepper - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. peppers, onions and celery
    8 cloves garlic
    2 c. white vinegar
    1 c. sugar
    water
    2 tsp. salt
    4 tsp. cooking oil
Preparation
    Pack peppers in jars.
    Cover with boiling water.
    Combine sugar, water and vinegar and boil.
    Drain water from jars.
    Put 1 teaspoon oil, 2 cloves of garlic and 1/2 teaspoon salt in each jar.
    Pour hot syrup over peppers and seal.
