Peanut Blossoms - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. peanut butter
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
pkg. of Hershey's Kisses

Preparation

Cream shortening and peanut butter; add sugars.
Add egg, vanilla and milk; beat well.
Combine flour, soda and salt in a separate bowl.
Gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Shape dough into 1-inch balls, roll in white sugar or colored sugar for holidays.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove from oven and place Hershey's Kiss on cookie until the cookie cracks slightly.
