Candied Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium sweet potatoes
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Pre-boil sweet potatoes for about 10 minutes.
    Pour water out and cool potatoes with cold water.
    Peel when cool enough.
    Slice potatoes and place in casserole dish.
    Combine remaining ingredients in a 1 to 2-quart pot.
    Bring to a boil.
    Pour sugar mixture over potatoes.
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0. Bake for about 1 hour.
